The military applications are obvious. Detection of camouflaged vehicles under foliage — a tank under trees is no longer invisible. Crop reconnaissance in wartime — knowing where the food is means knowing where to strike.
Who can prove that OSE satellites serve espionage? No one. That is precisely the point. The Smart Dragon-3 rocket is commercial. The launch is civilian. The technology is dual-use.
A farmer in Uzbekistan receives Chinese satellite data to optimize his crops. He does not know that the same satellite, at the same moment, is scanning troop movements on the other side of the border.
